With the introduction of the Freestanding Renovia whole home audio system, NuVo offers the most efficient retrofit option for the custom installation industry. Using the HomePlug standard for Powerline Carrier Technology, Renovia offers up-to-eight listening zones by transmitting audio, and metadata for total control, across a home’s existing electrical wiring. Eliminating the need for extensive wire-pulling and minimizing any wall-cutting, Renovia often installs in as little as a day, for a swift, adaptable architectural audio solution. The system starts with a main hub unit, where six audio sources are centralized (including the hub’s built-in AM/FM/SIRIUS-Ready dual tuner), and then communicates over the electrical lines to 50-watt zone amplifiers located in each listening area. The new freestanding design of the zone amplifiers keeps the install clean, easy, and fast. Simply plug into an outlet, then connect the amp with speaker wire and, if using an on-wall Control Pad, a short run of CAT-5, and the zone is finished. The zone amplifier itself is compactly designed, and conveniently concealable through placement in a ceiling or cabinet. Freestanding Renovia amps can be used for every zone, or interchangeably with NuVo’s in-wall version.
